

Sabine Albers started her photographic career in 1996 as a freelance photographer based in Amsterdam. She was awarded the Golden Light bulb for ‘most promising new photographer’ (ADCN 1998) before taking a position working with press agency Foto BR. After six months Sabine choose to return to freelance and quickly established herself in the advertising and editoril world working for a vast array of clients such as Vodafone, Discovery Channel and Outdoor Magazine.
In 1999 Sabine’s out-going nature led her into the world of extreme sports and adventure travel. She covered the Adventure Racing Circuit including Eco Challenge, Raid Gauloise and Southern Traverse. It took her around the globe, from the Sahara Desert to the stunning glaciers of Patagonia, Testing her adventures skills and honing her photographic technique.
After sailing a 38ft catamaran from the Pacific Islands to Sydney, Sabine fell in love with Australia and has set her base here since 2003.
She continues to focus her efforts perusing long-term film and photograph projects including ‘I am’, a portrait book of handicapped children, ‘Vanishing Sugarcane Farming in Queensland’ and ‘Tomorrows Sunrise – Cambodia’s Orphans’.
Sabine has been the official photographer for the Australasian Safari, XXXX Gold Beach Cricket and Top Gear Australia.
